Statement

Pay the Rent is an independent philanthropic organisation committed to acknowledge Aboriginal rights and give practical support to Aboriginal social justice projects and healing initiatives. Pay the Rent facilitates the collection of voluntary payments from non-Indigenous people – generally 1% or more of regular income – which is held in a Trust Account.

Any individual or group can apply to Pay the Rent for a grant from this Trust to fund projects which benefit Aboriginal self-governance and self-determination, strengthen cultural knowledge and heritage, education, community empowerment, break down racism, or encourage an understanding of Aboriginal ways of being.
